Cloud Launcher ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AWS resource management platform.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 AWS Credentials

  • AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key are used solely to interact with your AWS account.
  • Credentials are provided via environment variables and are never stored in databases or logs.
  • Credentials remain in server memory only during active API requests.

2.2 Resource Data

  • Resource metadata (names, types, regions, status) is stored locally for tracking purposes.
  • Resource configuration details necessary for management operations.
  • Estimated cost calculations based on resource type and configuration.

2.3 Usage Data

  • Server logs may contain IP addresses, request timestamps, and API endpoints accessed.
  • Error logs for debugging and service improvement.
  • No personal browsing history or third-party tracking is collected.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the AWS resource management Service.
  • To execute AWS operations on your behalf (create, read, delete resources).
  • To display resource status and cost estimates on your dashboard.
  • To enforce budget limits and spending protections.
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve the Service.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Resource tracking data is stored locally on the server where the application is deployed.
  • We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS enforcement, CSP headers, rate limiting, and input validation.
  • AWS credentials are never logged, persisted to disk, or transmitted to third parties.
  • All API communications with AWS use encrypted TLS connections.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

  • With AWS, as necessary to execute resource management operations using your credentials.
  • When required by law, legal process, or governmental request.
  • To protect our rights, property, or safety.

6. Cookies

Cloud Launcher uses only essential cookies required for the Service to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

8. Data Retention

Resource tracking data is retained as long as the resources exist in your AWS account. When you delete a resource through Cloud Launcher, its tracking data is immediately removed. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
